Struggling Actor: Al performed anywhere he could throughout this time period. He was also chronically jobless and abandoned. He performed in basement plays in NYC’s experimental house. He auditioned for acting organizations but was broadly discarded. He was ultimately affirmed into H.B. Studio, where coach Charlie Laughton took Pacino on his back and became a mentor.
