Barack Obama Early Life and Education:

Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father, Barack Obama Sr., was from Kenya, and his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was from Kansas. Obama spent part of his childhood in Indonesia. He later moved to the United States and attended Columbia University in New York City, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science. Subsequently, he attended Harvard Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Obama’s political career began in the Illinois State Senate, where he served from 1997 to 2004. In 2004, he gained national attention with his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. The same year, he was elected to the U.S. Senate, representing Illinois. In 2008, Barack Obama made history by becoming the first African American to be elected President of the United States.
