Dolce & Gabbana fashions are all over red carpets across the world, but one of the biggest appearances of the brand’s pieces was at the 2023 Academy Museum Gala. The 3rd annual event was in Los Angeles on December 3.

It was a glamorous showing of Hollywood stars out to celebrate the movie industry, and many of them chose to dress in elegant Dolce & Gabbana fashions as they strutted the red and pink carpets.

An Honoree Shining in Dolce & Gabbana

The gala honored four inspirational individuals. Among them were Meryl Streep, who received the Icon Award for her notable influence in the industry, Michael B. Jordan, who took home the Vantage Award for his work challenging dominant narratives, and Sofia Coppola who had the honor of the Visionary Award for her innovations in cinema.

Standing out from the group was honoree, Oprah Winfrey. The former talk show host and legend received the Pillar Award for leadership and museum support. Winfrey made a showing at the event wearing a custom-made Dolce & Gabbana gown.

Shining in embroidered purple sequins, the gown had a high neck and long sleeves. It had a fitted bodice and draped to the floor. Winfrey looked stunning in the dress and was arguably the stand-out fashion showing of the night for her choice to go with bold bling.

Ten other well-known names stepped out in Dolce & Gabbana for the gala. It was a major showing for the brand at this elite event.

The men showed off the edgy side of Dolce & Gabbana in a range of tuxedos. Aldis Hodge wore a classic tuxedo with a modern mandarin collar. B.J. Novak sported a tuxedo with a martini fit, and Chris Briney went with a double-breasted suit with satin accents. Lamorne Morris chose a Sicilian fit tuxedo in gray with large black lapels.

Sterling K. Brown also donned a martini-fit tuxedo and came to the gala alongside his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathe, who turned heads in a strapless silk chiffon gown in lime green.

The other ladies of the night wearing Dolce & Gabanna included Elizabeth Banks in a short, fitted crystal-adorned silver dress with a long, flowing, cream cape. She also carried a silver purse from the brand.

Fantasia Barrino stepped out in the popular Dolce & Gabbana sequin mesh dress. She made it look classy wearing it over a simple black dress and pairing it with a feathered collar. She also carried the D&G monogram patent leather purse.

Rounding out the group was Eva Longoria in a floor-length gold sequined gown, and Carolyn Murphy who chose a strapless white gown in satin with a draped bodice.
