Haeundae Room Salon
Haeundae Room Salon

The Haeundae Room Salon is a popular destination among both locals and tourists. It is a hot spring-based spa with an array of services, including massages and beauty treatments.

While the salon isn’t necessarily illegal, it is a controversial practice. With a second wave of coronavirus infections spreading, many are shutting down. But others remain open.

Creatrip

The Creatrip app provides a wide range of content for travellers including travel reviews, guides and recommendations updated daily by locals. It also allows users to book things like hanbok rentals, restaurants and photo studios in Korea.

During our chat with Haemin Yim, the founder and CEO of Creatrip, we learned about the challenges that the business had faced in its early days. During the pandemic, Creatrip suffered significant losses but Haemin and his team managed to adapt the company to the needs of their global user base.

While the business had many challenges, it was important for them to adapt and offer a wider range of content. For example, they created a feature that allows users to view the currency exchange rates at local stores, something that was not available before. This helped them to increase their user base.

Haeundae Station

Located on the eastern side of Busan, Haeundae is famous for its nationally recognized beach. During summer months, the sandy beach is packed with tens of thousands of Koreans and tourists alike.

It’s an ideal location for a relaxing vacation and has many diverse attractions within walking distance. The district is also home to the famous SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars around this area. Most are on the main street (Gunam-ro) between Heundae Station and the beach.

South Korea takes morals very seriously and has recently been protesting against homosexuality, claiming to protect a “land of great moral value throughout its 5000 years of history”. However, they turn a blind eye to underground room salons where these moral values come crashing down every other weekday.

In recent times, these rooms have been reopened. But the decision is not without controversy and some people are sceptical of its safety.

Haeundae Beach

Haeundae Beach is one of Busan’s most popular and well-known beaches. It is especially busy during the summer when it attracts tourists from throughout Korea and beyond.

If you want to get the most out of your time at the beach, make sure to check out the beach park on the opposite side. It will give you a different perspective of the sea and you’ll be able to avoid the crowds!

You can also explore the many cafes along the seafront in Haeundae. Some of our favorites include Edge 993 and Sky Capsule.

Another great way to spend time at the beach is by booking a local photographer for an Eastern Busan photography tour. Having your pictures taken at some of the most beautiful and Instagram-worthy spots in Haeundae will be an experience you’ll never forget!
